Booooooom...wild things hiding in magical tents...

Two of my favorite things in life are challenging my imagination and collaboration. The folks over at Booooooom are experts at both of them. Unfortunately, I always seem to miss the boat when they have these amazing contests/projects. Nonetheless it is so rewarding to see the outcome of their efforts of spreading creativity across the globe. This time they teamed up with weloveyouso to create a contest that allowed you to channel your inner child by creating a fort based on the book and new movie Where The Wild Things Are!!

"Remember what it felt like to build a fort? To hide away in a maze of chairs and pillows and blankets? Remember perching on couches and bunkbeds, overlooking an imaginary empire? It felt amazing to strip those objects of their benign, practical purposes. We were contradicting the domestic order of mom and dad to create something wild and mysterious– a place all our own, with moats and towers, jungles and vines, robots and dinosaurs. Where The Wild Things Are is filled with reference to building a world out of things from your everyday life and that's exactly what you want you to do! We want you to create a fort! Use garbage bags, tree branches, tablecloths, prosthetic limbs, wood, gold, whatever you got!"

Of course there was a prize, but honestly who cares...this seemed way too fun!!

The Winner! Eric Rice
