We were so excited to be asked to participate again this year for the Grace Ormonde, Wedding Style Magazine, Photoshoot that took place at the Ocean House in Rhode Island. (Last year we were at the Loading Dock in Stamford) Talk about a dream location! Together with Yumiko of Hana Floral Design, Miss Wesson and I collaborated to design the table. We were asked to create a table that was inspired by the latest Givenchy line combining "Modern, crisp, luxurious, fashion forward details, using clean lines and modern amenities." With the selected beach location, waves crashing in the distance and the majestic sunny yellow Ocean House standing tall in the background, our table came to life. While we can't share with you all of the images until the magazine is released we thought we would give you a taste of the behind the scenes, on one of the hottest days of the summer. Thank you to everyone that collaborated on this design, we couldn't have done it without you!
Behind the Scenes:

The fabulous Abby Shaughnessy, and newest member of True Event (much love) for helping to bring the table to life onsite.

Matching Bouquet, Capiz Shell Wrap (Hana Floral Design) We were so honored to be asked to design a table for the January issue of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine yesterday at the Loading Dock in Stamford. The Creative Direction we were given was to create a table that illustrated Modern Opulence, using fashion for inspiration and that was in the jewel tone color palette provided above. "A very fresh, romantic, clean, yet fashion forward table design."Table Details: We took the inspiration provided and incorporated coastal design elements, using the capiz shell chandeliers, handpainted coral menus, sea fans on the backs of the chairs and pearl lustreware chargers that had the same sheen as the capiz shell lighting. Down the center of the table we ran a natural burlap runner to add texture to the lucite table with a handmade floral runner of over 400 pink carnations. Running down the center of the floral runner were 100 hot pink carnations that mirrored the coral design on the menus.
Together we have created hundreds of "coastal" weddings, but this by far is one of our favorite designs! Can't wait to create this table for a full event. Thank you to everyone that collaborated with us on this design we couldn't have done it without you!Collaboration:

Lucinda and I were invited to collaborate with Yumiko from Hana Floral to design a table for the latest issue of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style New England. The photo shoot was held at the Winvian, a totally amazing hidden gem in Morris, CT.
Inspired by a painting that they provided, we designed the table to be a mix of vintage and modern pieces. We used ghost chairs and glass candle holders on the tables for modern elements and brought in vintage accents with the broaches on the chairs, the rich fabric on the table, Lenox china and porcelain bird napkin rings.
Inspiration for Table, Almond Branches in Bloom by Vincent van Gogh
An Orchid "chandelier" was designed to hang from the ceiling over the center of the table, it was such a dramatic centerpiece. Glass Candle holders from CB2 added modern accents to the table.
Modern ghost chairs were wrapped with tiffany blue satin ribbon and pinned with vintage broaches to display the escort card on the back of the chair. Table Description: A mix of vintage and modern. Peacock blue dupioni featuring small arrangements of coral peonies set under a floating branch with white phalaenopsis orchids.
