Yesterday Style Me Pretty launched their first ever E-glossy magazine featuring the top 20 weddings of the year from 2010. I can't even begin to express how, jump up and down, let me catch my breath, excited we were to have two of our weddings selected in the top 20. Considering there have been 4 weddings featured every day for over a year, totaling just over 1,000 weddings we are so honored and humbled. A huge thank you to all the readers for your comments, tweets, love and recognition. And an extra special Congratulations to the Style Me Pretty Team that continues to impress, inspire and amaze me and thousands of readers on a daily basis. This is such a beautiful magazine and collection of events from the year.

Gosh I don't even know where to start with this one. When Abby first came to me to help with the design/coordination of her wedding I was so honored at the opportunity to collaborate with her in planning her wedding day. From the minute she walked in the door I knew we were going to have a blast!
Abby is the face behind, Life in the Super Burbs and also a writer for Style Me Pretty, two of my favorite blogs to follow. I knew this wedding was going to be something special, and it was everything and more! No detail was missed and the team of vendors involved were some of the top talents in the industry. Abby and Andrew had one of the best days this summer with clear bright blue skies and shining sun. The Ocean House in Rhode Island, a dream venue, set the backdrop for one of my favorite color palettes, butter yellow, and aqua accents.
Telling the story of Abby & Andrew... how they met, fell in love, and tidbits of information about their relationship made the wedding truly unique. Guests were surrounded by design details of capiz shells, candles, flowers, and place settings. And more importantly reminders of this incredible couple and their love for one another, in subtle details spread throughout, in the fun facts on the back of the menus, the buttons that were attached to the escort cards, love quotes on the coasters... All of the thought, planning and love that went into designing this huge celebration was a true reflection of them as a couple.
I was SO excited to see Abby and Andrew's wedding featured this week on Style Me Pretty. Also Abby did a day by day breakdown of all of the details and planning that went into the wedding on Life in the Super Burbs. You must check it out! A real behind the scenes of the inspiration to reality of the wedding. But before you go take a look at this highlights video by the oh so talented Julie of Elysium Productions.
Well I am back from vacation and it is amazing how relaxed I felt just a week ago laying on the beach, reading magazines, and I actually got through a book (Highly recommend Belong to Me and the Beach House). While away I tried to disconnect from the day to day, although I must admit it was hard to completely turn it all off, I was found with my lap top in front of me most days, but usually only in the morning before we headed down to the beach. Vacation was perfection and I am back totally refreshed, sun kissed, and ready for all of the fabulous weddings that are coming up in the weeks ahead.
I just can't believe that while away I missed our feature wedding, Gillian & Nate, go up on Style Me Pretty! You could imagine my excitement today when I was going through past tweets and realized we had been featured. Thanks so much Style me Pretty!!!
Gillian and Nate's wedding was one of my favorites to date. From the minute I met Gillian, dressed in her yellow sweater (I think we might have had on matching ones at one point) I knew we were going to become fast friends. Working with her was a dream! We told their story as a couple through the details, and their wedding is one I know guests are still talking about. Every detail had meaning, which made it completely unique to them. And Erica (Adeline and Grace) captured every detail perfectly.

This week has truly been one of the best to date. I have been so completely honored and humbled by the overwhelming response of brides, colleagues, friends and people I have never met before on our featured wedding on Style Me Pretty.
When Abby and I decided to team up to do this I was so excited at the opportunity to share with readers the process of designing a wedding from inspiration to reality for a real bride. The design process is one that I think is essential in making a wedding unique to the couple but also memorable for guests. I am always asked the question after everything is set in place, "was that your idea or the brides?," "who came up with the colors, was that you?" For me it is always a combination of details, I love taking a client's vision and helping to refine it. We often start at one place and in the end the finished result is even more spectacular than I could have ever imagined, and that was the case with this Nashville wedding.
Working with Libby and Patrick, was truly amazing! They completely trusted us, and gave us total freedom to create the wedding of their dreams, never once doubted or questioned whether or not it would be exactly what they wanted. That is the relationship between a client and a designer that truly is the recipe for complete success. And for me a dream! Tapping into what was important to them, listening to them talk about their favorite things, and really getting a sense of their personalities set the tone for all that was to come.
With all of the gorgeousness that appears on Style Me Pretty on a daily basis I really wanted this event to be special and in partnering with the extremely talented Abby Larson, there was no doubt it would be. The team of vendors that I had the opportunity to work with in this incredible adventure was the opportunity of a lifetime. I was blown away by the energy, talent, and passion that surrounded me from the minute we all got together in the board room at the hotel surrounded by buckets and buckets of flowers, and the laughter never stopped. It is why I love what I do so much! And why I am so blessed to be living my dream!
Style Me Pretty did such an absolutely incredible job of documenting the behind the scenes, the design, details, raw emotion, and photos from this incredible project so I won't try to recreate what has already been done and seen on the blog, but I do want to highlight some of my favorite moments. Thank you Abby for letting me be a part of this incredible project, it is a memory I will always cherish and can't wait until our next collaboration!
(an extra special thank you to the girls on my team, Adrienne for sweating along side me for two days as we built this dream wedding, and Kate for the DIY behind the scenes work, the yo-yos came out absolutely beautiful!)

Totally humbled by the response! Kind words from readers of SMP...
Sarah True of True Event, who I respect and adore on an entirely new level after this wedding. She is the most level headed, totally design savvy, can-do anything designer I’ve ever met…literally climbing on tables to hang votives and bussing tables during the reception. Not to mention her insanely gorgeous styling. Yep, she’s officially THE BEST… (Abby Larson- Style Me Pretty)
Everything about this makes me happy. Those chairs are amazing, the tables are perfection, the peonies are out of this world pretty ....I just love how everything ties together so perfectly! I love today on SMP!!
i can honestly say i have never seen an event so lovely. and how...how?! did Sarah manage to squeeze in all of that gorgeous bubble gum without it feeling over-the-top or girly? truly amazing.
This is absolutely AMAZING!! The designs are so inspirational and full of creativity. I think the details are my favorite to date! (and I'm usually a lurker and don't comment on here!)
I simply love the contemporary look and how all the DIY elements are so creative/original yet 'accessible' and do-able at the same time. Everything is just oozing with style. Even without knowing the background story, based on the photos alone, this is truly, truly one of my favorites!
This makes me feel so happy! Thank you SMP!! :)
