I designed this board for a bride and groom I recently started working with that are getting married at a private residence in Connecticut. Sondra (bride) described the mood as sophisticated and elegant but vibrant and fun. Modern Elegance, with black and white as a base and bold colors as accents throughout. Inspired by the incredibly talented Jonathan Adler we are going to bring in modern patterns and textures to create different layers of design, from the cocktail hour to the main reception tent. I am just in LOVE with this design and the colors, perfect for a summer wedding!

Tuesdays are for Mood Boards... Winter in the Dessert

I was recently asked to collaborate on an upcoming photo shoot with the uber talented Carla Ten Eyck, using this mood board as our inspiration. I just love the contrasting details of natural elements found in the desert (succulents, cactus, sand) with white fur, sequence and silver. A winter inspired shoot photographed in the desert.

The photo shoot is taking place on the White Sands National Park in New Mexico, which is truly one of the most breathtaking places in the United States. While studying abroad in college I traveled to Fraiser Island in Australia which reminds me so much of this spot in New Mexico. It is the most amazing feeling to be surrounded by miles and miles of the whitest sand you have ever seen. This venue is a photographer's dream! I am so excited to be a part of such an exciting shoot and to be teaming up with a crew of extremely talented people to bring this inspiration board to reality. Stay Tuned for more details!

This past weekend Adam and Lauren got married on what turned out to be a truly gorgeous day. Despite hurricane forecasts in the days leading up to the wedding, tents were able to go up Saturday morning in the rain and the day cleared up just in time for guest arrival. On the back patio of the Branford House Mansion, overlooking the water, guests gathered around as Adam and Lauren were married in an intimate ceremony, led by JP Chaz Zezulka. Director of Catering, Eric Perrin, and his staff were a pleasure to work with and helped to create a truly incredible affair! Congratulations Adam and Lauren!
